VICTORY BY TKO MORGANTOWN- UConn's 61-55 win over West Virginia was a good old fashioned Big East version of rock em-sock em robots.(one of the great toys ever invented). Both teams fought for 40 minutes and in the end, it was UConn that came out with the win.

Huskies Overcome First-Half Fumbles to Win International Bowl, 38-20 Donald Brown and a stout defense helped the Connecticut Huskies overcome a fumble-prone performance. Brown, the nation's leading rusher, ran for a career-best 261 yards _ including 208 in the first half _ and scored a touchdown in what might be his final college game, and UConn defeated Buffalo 38-20 in the International Bowl .

UConn Men Pull Out Tough Win on Road Jim Calhoun figured No. 5 Connecticut would need all the second chances it could get against No. 25 West Virginia, and that meant going hard after missed shots. Jeff Adrien scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half and Connecticut used a huge rebounding advantage to beat the cold-shooting Mountaineers 61-55 on Tuesday.

UConn Women Rout Nation's Highest-Scoring Team, USF Barely tested by opponents during another blazing start, top-ranked Connecticut thrives on motivation from within.
Improved defense was the Huskies' mantra Tuesday night in an 83-37 rout of South Florida, the nation's highest scoring team.

The Panthers (14-0) took advantage of losses by season-long unanimous No. 1 North Carolina and No. 2 Connecticut to make the jump from third to first Monday, receiving all but two of the first-place votes.

Huskies Bounce Back from Georgetown Loss with 80-49 Defeat of Rutgers Hasheem Thabeet led a balanced Connecticut attack with 15 points and eight rebounds, and the second-ranked Huskies snapped back from their first loss of the season with a 80-49 win over Rutgers on Saturday night.
Jerome Dyson added 14 points and Jeff Adrien had 13 for UConn (12-1, 1-1 Big East).

UConn Women Defeat LSU Lady Tigers 76-63 Top-ranked Connecticut led LSU by two points in the second half Saturday when Renee Montgomery decided to take over.
UConn's point guard scored 10 of her 21 points, dished out three assists and added a steal during an 18-3 run that helped UConn to a 76-63 win over the Lady Tigers.
UConn Women Defeat Hartford 78-41 Renee Montgomery scored all of her 20 points in the first half to lead top-ranked Connecticut to a 78-41 win over in-state rival Hartford on Wednesday. Montgomery, who hit nine of her 11 shots, moved past Hartford coach Jen Rizzotti into 12th place on UConn's all-time scoring list with 1,545 points.
Tina Charles scored 21 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead No. 1 Connecticut to a 77-48 victory over South Carolina on Sunday. Maya Moore had 15 points and Renee Montgomery 13 for the Huskies, certain to continue
